Georgetown, Del., Dec. 23, 2008: Gregory Fuller Sr. is officially Sussex County’s newest Register of Wills.
Mr. Fuller, 46, of Lincoln was sworn in Tuesday morning, Dec. 23, 2008, and will oversee the office responsible for administration of all estates probated in Sussex County.
Sussex County Superior Court Judge T. Henley Graves administered the oath of office to Mr. Fuller before a small crowd of family, friends and County officials in the Sussex County Courthouse. Upon his swearing in, Mr. Fuller assumes the office of Register of Wills for the next two years.
Mr. Fuller was appointed to fill the position by Delaware Gov. Ruth Ann Minner last week after the resignation of former Register of Wills David L. Wilson, who was elected to the General Assembly in the Nov. 4 election. The State Constitution prohibits public officials from holding dual elective offices at the same time.
Mr. Fuller said he was honored to have been appointed by the governor to finish the remaining two years of the four-year term. “I am going to give the County and the fine people of Sussex County 110 percent, just as I have always done in service to my Country as a former solider in the U.S. Army,” Mr. Fuller said. “That’s the only way I know how to do it.”
