A RESOLUTION THAT THE SUSSEX COUNTY COUNCIL SUPPORTS THE COASTAL ZONE ACT.
Resolutions
WHEREAS, the eligible voters of the proposed Henlopen Acres Sanitary Sewer District approved the creation of the sewer district by a vote of 151 to 24 in an election held February 16th, 1974;
WHEREAS, Sussex County Council herein called the "Applicant", after thorough consideration of the various aspects of the problem and study of available data, has hereby determined that the construction of certain works, required for the collection of sewage, generally described as Trenchless Sewer Construction, Bethany Sanitary District, herein called the "Project", is desirable and in the public interest, and to that end it is necessary that action preliminary to the construction of said Project be taken immediately;
WHEREAS, Sussex County Council herein called the "Applicant", after thorough consideration of the various aspects of construction of 6,270 feet of Railroad Spur Lines, Main Line Turnout, Spur Switch, Bumpers, Ditch Crossings and associated drainage at the Sussex County Industrial Park, did authorize William C. Henry as Applicant's Representative to apply to the Economic Development Administration for a direct grant in the amount of $100,000.00 on 20 December 1973;
RESOLUTION INDICATING INTENT TO JOIN WITH OTHER GENERAL PURPOSE UNITS OF LOCAL GOVERNMENT IN THE SUSSEX COUNTY COASTAL AREA TO DEVELOP AND IMPLEMENT A PLAN RESULTING IN A COORDINATED WASTE TREATMENT MANAGEMENT SYSTEM FOR THE AREA.
WHEREAS, a petition was received July 20, 1971 from electors of the Town of Blades requesting Sussex County Council to submit the question of organizing a sanitary sewer district to a vote of electors residing in that area;

BE IT RESOLVED that the date for the referendum on the Harbeson Street Lighting will be held on October 17, 1974 in the Harbeson Community Hall from 4:00 P. M. to 8:00 P. M. with Mr. Henry, County Engineer, acting as Judge of Election, and that the advertising to the interested parties be done by direct mail.
BE IT RESOLVED that on October 17, 1974 the Harbeson Street Lighting referendum is to be held in the Harbeson Community Hall between the hours of 4:00 P. M. and 8:00 P. M., with Mr. Henry, County Engineer, acting as Judge of Election, the advertising for the referendum to be done by direct mail, and that the use of absentee ballots is approved, to be furnished by the Engineer's Office.

BE IT RESOLVED that Mr. Henry, County Engineer, be authorized to make the necessary applications for loan funds from the U. S. Department of Agriculture, Farmers Home Administration, for the South Coastal Regional Wastewater Facilities, Bethany Sewers, Dewey Beach Sewers, South Bethany Sewers, and Dewey Beach Water.
