WHEREAS, the eligible voters of the proposed Dagsboro-Frankford Sanitary Sewer District approved the creation of the sewer district by a vote of 147 in favor to 138 against the district in an election held 11 January 1975;

WHEREAS, over fifty eligible voters did sign a petition for Sussex County Council to submit the question of organizing a Water and Sanitary Sewer district to a referendum for the Long Neck area;
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Council of Sussex County, that Article V, Section 13 of Ordinance No. 1 be amended by restricting the height of any building to seventy-five feet (75') and the construction of dwellings to a maximum of eighteen (18) units per acre.
WHEREAS, maintenance dredging of the Nanticoke River by the United States of America is now necessary;
BE IT RESOLVED that John D. Wik be hired as an unclassifified employee of Sussex County for the position of Environmental Planner with the Coastal Sussex 208 Waste Treatment Management Planning Program at an initial salary of $15,000.00 per year for the period beginning 1 November 1975 and lasting until termination of 100% federal funding of the 208 Program. He serves at the pleasure of the County Council. It is hereby understood that Mr. Wik will be eligible for all benefits normally conferred upon unclassified employees and shall be considered a covered employee during the aforementioned period with respect to the Sussex County Employee Pension Plan.

WHEREAS, Pursuant to Title 9, Delaware Code, Section 6503, over fifty eligible voters did sign a petition for Sussex County Council to submit the question of organizing a Sanitary Sewer District to a referendum for the Town of Ocean View, a copy of the petition form is attached hereto as Exhibit 1;
BE IT RESOLVED that William W. Pleasants be hired as an unclassified employee of Sussex County for the position of Project Engineer with the Coastal Sussex 208 Waste Treatment Management Planning Program at an initial salary of $22,000.00 per year for the period beginning 15 November 1975 and lasting until termination of 100% federal funding of the 208 Program. It is hereby understood that Mr. Pleasants serves at the pleasure of the Sussex County Council and will be eligible for all benefits normally conferred upon unclassified employees with the exception of being exempt from the provisions of the Sussex County Employee Pension Plan.
