Welcome to Sussex County's Affordable and Fair Housing Resource Center! It is the policy of Sussex County to comply with the Fair Housing Act, as amended, and the Delaware Fair Housing Act by ensuring that its officials, agents, and employees will not discriminate in any aspect of housing based on the following protected classes: race, color, religion, national origin, handicap/disability, familial status, sex, creed, marital status, age, sexual orientation, gender identity, or source of income.
This resource center is designed to be an ever-expanding resource for the citizens of Sussex County. The Affordable and Fair Housing Resource Center was created in response to a fair housing settlement agreement between Sussex County and the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) and the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). The information contained on this site is required by the terms of the settlement agreement and made available to better assist the public with concerns regarding affordable and fair housing in Sussex County. Terms of the settlement agreement can be viewed here: DOJ Consent Decree and HUD Voluntary Compliance Agreement.
