38th annual Caroling on The Circle event postponed

Sussex County officials announced Monday, Dec. 6, 2021, that the 38th annual Caroling on The Circle event scheduled to take place in downtown Georgetown is postponed due to weather. Forecasters with the National Weather Service have advised the County that winds with gusts to 35 mph are possible during the evening hours - at the height of the 6:30 p.m. performance - as a strong cold front moves through the region. That, coupled with the chance for brief heavy rain, could put safety for those attending, as well as performers, at risk.

The County is discussing with its performers the possibility of a make-up date. Hopefully with a little better weather in the days ahead, and maybe a dash of holiday magic, Caroling will return to the stage very soon! Please check back for updates.

Until then, our 'Pack the Pod' food drive campaign continues. Please help feed the less fortunate in our community by making a donation of non-perishable food items at anytime at the County Administrative Offices building on The Circle in Georgetown.
