Georgetown, Del., July 17, 2007: Residents and property owners of Angola Neck will vote next month on whether to bring public sewer to more than 1,350 properties within their communities.
The Sussex County Engineering Department has proposed the creation of the Angola Neck Sanitary Sewer District to include the communities of Angola By The Bay, Angola Crest I & II, Angola Neck Acres, Angola Neck Park, Bay Ridge Woods, The Cove on Herring Creek, Holly Oak Acres, Tall Pines, Woods on Herring Creek and Villages of Herring Creek.
Qualified residents and property owners within the proposed area are invited to vote Saturday, Aug. 18, 2007, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Lewes-Rehoboth Fire Station No. 3, 21194 John J. Williams Highway, Angola. Absentee ballots also are available by contacting (302) 855-7839.
An informational meeting regarding estimated connection charges and rates will be held Saturday, Aug. 4, 2007, at 9 a.m. at the American Legion Post No. 28, 31768 Legion Road and Del. 24, east of Millsboro.
