September 26, 2008 MR 08-23 [Georgetown, DE] - The Sussex County Council will recognize the Sussex County EMS Paramedic Competition team at 10 a.m. on September 30, 2008 during the regularly scheduled County Council meeting located at 2 The Circle, Georgetown, Delaware. The SCEMS team competed in an international competition held in Israel that was hosted by Magen David Adom Israel, the national EMS system. SCEMS, the lone United States representative, competed in an extensive and extremely competitive 3 day event that included 40 teams from 12 countries performing multiple challenging scenarios. Team members Holly Donovan, Jill Wix, Stuart Hensley and Robbie Murray proved ready for the challenge, placing third in their first out-of-country competition.
