Georgetown, Del., April 3, 2008: Residents and property owners of the Golf Village subdivision near Georgetown will vote in a referendum next month on whether to bring public sewer service to approximately 55 properties in their community.
The Sussex County Engineering Department has proposed the creation of the Golf Village Sanitary Sewer District to include the community of Golf Village.
Qualified residents and property owners within the proposed area are invited to vote Thursday, May 1, 2008, from 1 to 7 p.m. at the Sussex County Council Chambers, 2 The Circle, in Georgetown. Absentee ballots are available for anyone unable to vote in person. To be counted, all absentee ballots must be received by the County no later than noon Wednesday, April 30, 2008. Please call (302) 855-7839 to obtain an absentee ballot package.
An informational meeting regarding estimated connection charges and rates was held Jan. 30, 2008.
