August 8, 2007 MR 07-13 [Rehoboth Beach-DE]-Rehoboth Beach and Red Cross officials have opened the Rehoboth Beach Convention Center on Rehoboth Avenue as a comfort station for residents affected by the power outage in Rehoboth Beach.

Power outages have occurred throughout the Rehoboth Beach-Dewey Beach area following a fire at a transformer station on Route One. Residents are encouraged to bring necessary items including bedding, medicines, and food. Power outages are expected to last several hours and the convention center will remain open until power is restored.
