Sussex County Council honored the state champion Cape Henlopen High School field hockey team during the regular weekly meeting Tuesday, Dec. 3, 2013, in Georgetown. The team won the title in November, capping an 18-0-1 season. The Cape Henlopen High School field hockey team’s accomplishment is the third consecutive state title for the school’s field hockey program, and the fifth field hockey state championship title for the school since 1979.
