Georgetown, Del., Oct. 28, 2004: On October 28, 2004, Chapter 546 of the Vietnam Veterans of America found a home for their memorial.
The memorial’s purpose is to remember the 26 veterans from Sussex County who died or were declared missing in action during the Vietnam War. The memorial can be found at the corner of South Bedford St. and the Circle in Georgetown in front of the County Administrative offices. The Chapter’s Vice President Steve Spicer and Chapter member Bob Stickels were two Vietnam Veterans present during the setting of the memorial.
