Sussex County sponsors the Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) program to help promote the resilience to disaster of our communities.  The program provides for training and ongoing support of the community based teams across the county. Classes for Basic CERT are offered several times during the year, along with quarterly “refresher” sessions.  Guidance for the program is provided by a Program Manager and the CERT Team Leaders Council which meets regularly.
