Report Instances of Fraud, Waste, and Abuse in County Government

Sussex County government is committed to provide our employees and citizens with a government characterized by accountability and responsibility. In an effort to enhance this commitment, the County has established this page where instances of fraud, waste, or abuse in County government may be reported. 

Every allegation of fraud, waste, or abuse will be investigated thoroughly and promptly. The investigation will be handled in as confidential a manner as possible consistent with a full, fair, and proper investigation. Depending on the nature and severity, some cases may be coordinated with or referred to an outside agency such as the Public Integrity Commission or local law enforcement.

Before making any allegations of dishonesty, be reasonably certain of any claims. Such allegations can seriously and negatively impact the accused individuals’ life.
