The project will be divided into two contracts; Contract A: Vacuum Collection and Sewage Conveyance Systems and Contract B: Vacuum Building and Associated Site Work. A single contractor may bid on one or both contracts however award of each contract will be based on the lowest responsible/responsive bidder of each contract. A brief description of each contract is as follows:

Contract A: Vacuum Collection and Sewage Conveyance Systems:

This contract generally includes the installation of approximately 7,600 linear feet of four inch (4”) PVC vacuum main, 5,800 linear feet of six inch (6”) PVC vacuum main, 400 linear feet of eight inch (8”) PVC vacuum main, 4,700 linear feet of 3" vacuum lateral, 2,600 linear feet of four inch (4”) PVC force main, direction drill of 360 LF of six inch (6”) HDPE force main, 2,100 linear feet of 4” PVC sewer lateral, installation of 183 vacuum pits, pipe testing and trench and roadway restoration.

Contract B: Vacuum Building and Associated Site Work:

This Contract generally includes site clearing and grubbing, construction of an 18’X30’ vacuum building with basement, sewage collection tank, vacuum pumps, and sewage discharge pumps, interior piping, exterior piping extending 5 feet from building, electrical and controls, HVAC system, emergency generator and concrete generator pad, system startup and testing, site grading and drainage, reinforced concrete   sidewalk, site paving and other work as necessary to provide a complete and operational facility.
