Starlight Meadows Road Improvements

Bids are being sought from Contractors to provide all labor, materials and equipment required to performing pavement repairs and improvements to the street network within the Starlight Meadows community in accordance with the specifications and details provided herein; including but limited to pavement preparation, pavement milling and patching, pavement overlay, driveway adjustments, maintenance of traffic, and site restoration as required to complete all work specified.

James Farm Ecological Preserve Campus

Bids are being sought from Contractors to provide all labor, materials, tools, equipment and services required for construction of an educational and maintenance campus, including site and utility work in preparation of building construction; completing one wood-framed Education Building, one wood-framed Maintenance Building, and one wood-framed Paddle Storage Building; and performing all mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and other work items as necessary to complete the Project.

Rail Spur Repairs

Bids are being sought from Contractors to provide all labor, materials and equipment required to perform repairs to the existing railroad track infrastructure owned by Sussex County located in the Delaware Coastal Business Park in Georgetown, Delaware.

Ocean Outfall Repairs

Sussex County is requesting bids from Vendors to provide specific repairs to an Ocean Outfall pipeline that extends 6,670 linear feet into the Atlantic Ocean between Bethany Beach, DE and Middlesex Beach, DE. The Vendor will be required to perform all specified repairs and provide a brief report with associated support video and photo documentation.

South Coastal Library RTU Replacement

The project generally consists of all labor, materials, equipment and services required for disconnecting and removing a existing gas fired, packaged rooftop unit (RTU) at South Coastal Library, which primarily serves the Children’s Collection and Program Room and installing a new gas fired, packaged rooftop unit. The project also includes the installation of an economizer hood on another existing Carrier rooftop unit at the same location.

Engineering Standards

The Sussex County Engineering Department maintains a set of Standards that address design criteria, technical specifications, construction details, and best practices associated with the design and installation of County maintained sanitary sewer infrastructure and related amenities. The Standards are intended to assist Engineers, Contractors, and Material Suppliers when designing, fabricating, or installing sewer and related amenities associated with both Private Development and County Capital projects.

SYSTEM CONNECTION CHARGE DEFERMENT ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

Sussex County offers a Front Footage Grant and a Deferment of System Connection Charges to property owners who: (1) were required to install or upgrade their septic system by DNREC within the last 5 years, (2) are now required to connect to a Sussex County sewer, and (3) paid more than $10,000 for the installation or upgrade.
